The Institut International de Lancy is a leading international private school in Geneva. We worked alongside their teams to modernise the IIL brand as they launched a new communications campaign.
From kindergarten to high school, IIL welcomes students from over 96 nationalities, offering French, English and bilingual curriculums on a campus located just minutes from downtown Geneva. The Institut, looking to boost their visibility and better showcase their assets, hired Creative Supply to help develop a new communication platform, modernize their visual identity and website, and ultimately devise a new communications campaign.
Education for Life
Early in the project, we held a number of workshops with the school’s professors and administrators. We also interviewed students and parents to get an accurate grasp of people’s perceptions and expectations of the school. This allowed us to promptly zero in on the main communication lines, united under the slogan “Education for Life.” The new slogan plays on IIL’s social mission that extends beyond teaching: preparing students to become open-minded and responsible world citizens. In addition, it underlines that an IIL education benefits students all throughout their lives.
Once the communications platform had been agreed, IIL chose Creative Supply to drive the project’s many applications, rallying ten of our agency staff for the job. The first priority was to redesign the website. Our web designer drew up a modern visual chart to enhance IIL’s previously-used codes with new colours and symbols that reflect the diversity of the student body and teaching staff. Illustrations by Violeta Noy bring warmth and playfulness to the whole. A number of photo and video shoots, primarily via drone, were also held to show the school, students and teaching staff from their best angle.
In parallel, we began working arm in arm with the school’s teams to rewrite their content. The structure of the website underwent remodelling and texts were entirely rewritten in light of the new orientations of the communications platform.
“Creative Supply has been able to highlight our unique pedagogical approach and our openness to the world. Creative Supply has been a constant and responsive partner. They have created an identity in which the entire IIL community recognises itself, and their creative talents have helped give substance to it and express our difference.”

With the new “Education for Life” slogan at its core, the campaign illustrates how students continue to benefit from an IIL education many years after their schooling. Visuals show pictures of students with short texts that tell of their future professions – professions that reflect the school’s teaching priorities: science, technology, environment and international cooperation.
The campaign was designed with the multi-channel era in mind: visuals were placed throughout Geneva city, but also on a tramway that stops near the school. The digital portion of the campaign includes specific content and animations for various social networks, a web campaign with Adwords and banner ads. Several inserts in Switzerland’s French-speaking newspapers have also been booked (Le Temps, Tribune de Genève).
Despite difficulties arising from Covid-19, intensive collaborations between IIL and Creative Supply teams thoroughly reshaped the school’s communications to better stand out from the competition and draw in new families.
