Propaganda by Edward Bernays – To learn the fundamentals of PR

Although written in 1928, Propaganda by Edward Bernays gives incredible insights into the manipulation of masses. This book might not be the obvious choice to learn more about branding, but propaganda is about creating images in the minds of millions of people at the same time and isn’t that what branding is all about? Bernays explains how he uses technics rooted in psychology (he was a nephew of Freud) to influence politics and businesses. Edward Bernays was among the first ones to understand the inner workings of human minds and how to take advantage of it to achieve commercial objectives.
